Traction drive with matrix converter, medium-frequency transformer and pulse rectifier

Abstract:

Tématem práce je použití maticového měniče pro redukci hmotnosti trakční výzbroje trakčního vozidla napájeného ze střídavé troleje. Zkoumá se možnost nahrazení klasického trakčního pohonu, který je v současné době v uspořádání nízkofrekvenční transformátor (pracující na frekvenci 50Hz resp. 16,7 Hz) a trakční měnič. V budoucnu by bylo možné nahradit současnou topologii uspořádáním ?vstupní trolejový? vysokonapěťový měnič + středofrekvenční transformátor + trakční měnič. Práce se zaměřuje na možnost použití maticového měniče jako měniče pro vysoké napětí. Vybraný regulační algoritmus je simulován prostřednictvím jazyka C, dále pak v jazyce Matlab prostředí Simulink ? Plecs. Uvedené výsledky simulace byly využity k realizaci fyzikálního modelu v laboratoři. Těžištěm předložené práce je především vyřešení praktické problematiky realizace jednofázového maticového měniče. V práci je detailně rozebrán návrh, implementace a ověření regulačních algoritmů pro jeho řízení (a pro řízení celého trakčního pohonu). Také byla ověřena použitelnost této sestavy pro vysokonapěťový měnič (tj. zejména problematika sériového řazení maticových měničů a problematika rovnoměrného rozložení napětí na jejich vstupních kondenzátorech).

Abstract:

The theme of this work entails the use of a matrix converter for the weight reduction of a traction vehicle supplied from AC trolley line. We endeavor to investigate the possibility of substituting a classical traction vehicle, which currently uses low frequency transformer (working at a frequency of 50Hz alternatively16.7 Hz) and a traction converter. In the future it will be possible to substitute the current topology using an input trolley high-voltage converter + medium-frequency transformer + traction converter. This work is focused to consider using a matrix converter as a primary high-voltage converter. The chosen regulation algorithm was simulated using Language C, Matlab and Simulink ? Plecs. The results of the simulation were used to realize a model within the laboratory. The goal of this work is solving the practical problems in realization a single-phase matrix converter. The design of proposed traction topology and control algorithm of matrix converter and whole traction topology verification are discussed in detail. The high-voltage configuration with 2 input matrix converters in series was verified. This includes the problems of serial connection of matrix converters and the problems of equal spread of voltage on input capacitors in the input high-voltage filters.
