Activation of students of specific age in German lessons by using language animation

Abstract:

This master´s thesis deals with the topic of Activation of students of specific age in German lessons by using language animation. Reason for the selection of this topic is presented in the opening section that is followed by theoretical knowledge of language animation and motivation. The theoretical part contains therefore the information about the origin, development, methods, principles and goals of Czech-German language animation and is followed by information about the organization Tandem and its´ projects. The theoretical part is closed with essential data about motivation and group dynamics. The practical part consists of three sections - an evaluation of the motivation and satisfaction with the German lessons made on the basis of questionnaires filled by 157 schoolchildren. The second section deals with 10 particular activities for the use of language animation with their modifications that can be used in the German lessons at Czech secondary schools. The last part is constituted of questionnaires based on schools´ interest in cooperation with Tandem and Czech-German language animation.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá tématem Aktivace žáků určitého věku v německém vyučování za pomocí jazykové animace. V úvodní části jsou prezentovány stručné informace o tématu a důvod k volbě tématu DP. V teoretické části je detailně rozebrána problematika jazykové animace, jejího původu, vzniku, vývoje, metod a principu a cíle Česko-německé jazykové animace. Dále jsou uvedeny informace o organizaci Tandem a jejích projektech. Teoretická část je uzavřena nezbytnými informacemi o motivaci a skupinové dynamice. Praktická část se skládá ze tří částí. V první byla provedena evaluace motivace a spokojenosti s výukou německého jazyka za pomoci dotazníků, které byly vyplněný 157 žáky středních škol. V druhé části jsou navrženy hry a aktivity využívající prvky jazykové animace, které mohou být použity v hodinách německého jazyka na SŠ. Poslední část se zabývá dotazníkovou rešerší pro Tandem s ohledem na případný zájem škol o spolupráci s Tandemem v rámci jazykové animace.
