Ocular prostheses

Abstract:

Začátek této práce je zaměřen na indikace k užití kosmetické oční protézy. Jsou zde přiblíženy procesy eviscerace, enukleace a exenterace očnice. Hlavním tématem jsou kosmetické oční a orbitální protézy. Problematika kosmetických očních protéz je dále dělena do dvou kapitol, ve kterých se nejprve věnuji očním protézám vyrobených ze skla a následně akrylátovým očním protézám. Dále se práce zabývá jejich historií, výrobou, rozdělením a pravidelnou údržbou včetně péče a hygieny užívání. Další část zahrnuje výčet ostatních optických a oftalmologických pomůcek, které lze zařadit do oblasti oční protetiky. V poslední části je popsána edukace pacienta.

Abstract:

The beginning of this work focuses on the indications of cosmetic ocular prosthesis. There are described evisceration, enucleation and orbital exenteration. The main themes are cosmetic ocular prostheses and orbital prostheses. Cosmetic ocular prostheses are divided into two chapters. The first one deals with ocular prostheses made of glass, the second with acrylic ocular prostheses. In the work there is described their history, manufacture, sorting and regular maintenance including care and hygiene use. Next section includes a list of other optical and ophthalmic equipment, which we can consider as ocular prosthetics. The last section describes educating patients.
