Factors affecting sow fertility

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo pojednávání o významných faktorech ovlivňujících reprodukční užitkovost prasnic, popsání vnitřních faktorů působících na plodnost prasnic, tj. plodnost a mléčnost a následné hodnocení faktorů vnějšího charakteru. Na reprodukci se podílí zejména plemenná příslušnost a heteroze, věk a hmotnost prasnic, velikost a pořadí vrhu, délka mezidobí, heritabilita, individualita kance, výživa, krmení, ustájení aj. V práci je v krátkosti seznámení i se stavbou pohlavní soustavy, pohlavního cyklu a s inseminací. V závěru práce bylo provedeno celkové zhodnocení příslušné problematiky.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to discuss the important factors influencing the reproductive performance of sows, to describe the internal factors influencing the fertility of sows, i.e. fertility and milk yield and then to evaluate the external factors. In particular, breed affiliation and heterosis, age and weight of sows, litter size and order, length of the interperiod, heritability, boar individuality, nutrition, feeding, housing, etc. are all factors involved in reproduction. The work also includes a brief introduction to the structure of the reproductive system, the sexual cycle and insemination. The thesis concludes with an overall assessment of the relevant issues.
