The role of the future father in the position of accompanying person in the birth

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou přítomnosti otců u porodu. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a průzkumnou část. Teoretická část se věnuje samotnému porodu, historii partnera u porodu, předporodní přípravě a jejím významem, rolí muže u porodu a diskutovanými klady a zápory daného tématu. Hlavním cílem průzkumné části bylo zjistit, jak muži vnímají a zvládají porodní děj, při kterém jsou přítomni. Dílčími cíli je zjistit, jak se na porod připravují, a co ovlivnilo rozhodování o jejich účasti na porodním sále. V této části jsou prezentovány výsledky kvantitativního výzkumného šetření mezi muži, kteří byli alespoň jednou přítomni u porodu svého dítěte.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the presence of fathers in childbirth. The work is divided into theoretical and exploratory part. The theoretical part is devoted to the birth itself, the history of the partner in childbirth, prenatal preparation and its significance, the role of the man in childbirth and the pros and cons of the topic discussed. The main goal of the exploratory part was to find out how men perceive and manage the birth process in which they are present. The partial goals are to find out how they prepare for childbirth and what influenced the decision-making of their participation in the delivery room. This section presents the results of a quantitative research survey of men who were present at least once during the birth of their child.
