Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním metodologií projektů Embera Wera a La cultura genera vida y no muerte, které jsou zaměřeny na eradikaci ženské obřízky v kmeni Emberá. Teoretická část představuje kmen Emberá, jeho historii a kulturu. Také pojednává o původu ženské obřízky v Latinské Americe a především o jejím významu pro členy kmenu.
