Financial Analysis of the Selected Company

Abstract:

The objective of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the financial health of the selected company STRV s.r.o. applying the methods of financial analysis for the period 2015-2019. Based on the outputs of the analysis, a comparison will be made with the average industry values in the field of information technology. The purpose of this dissertation is to prove/disprove the main hypothesis question "The financial situation of the company is generally evaluated as healthy in the monitored period." which will be supported by other six sub-hypothesis. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explores the importance of financial analysis, their sources, users and describes the methods and procedures that can be used to assess the financial condition of the company. The practical part will test the particular sub-hypothesis using the selected indicator. By using financial statements, a horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, and selected bankruptcy and solvency models will be formed. The results of the financial analysis are summarized and recommendations for improving the company's financial situation will be executed.
