The Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on ŠKODA AUTO a.s.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá právě probíhající čtvrtou průmyslovou revolucí, konkrétně jejím vlivem na společnost ŠKODA AUTO a.s. Práce obsahuje pojmy, postupy a technologie spjaté se čtvrtou průmyslovou revolucí. Práce vychází z českých a evropských publikací, současně čerpá i ze zdrojů mimo Evropskou unii za účelem diverzifikace vstupních informací. Obsaženo je několik analýz konceptu Průmyslu 4.0, dále práce uvádí konkrétní příklady současné aplikace, prezentuje určité interní strategie pro vývoj společnosti a následně cituje vyjádření členů představenstva a zaměstnanců společnosti. Detailněji se práce zaměřuje na oblast lidských zdrojů v závislosti na výrobě, logistice a vývoji ve společnosti. Z těchto informací je nastíněno, jak by mohl koncept Průmysl 4.0 změnit strukturu pracovních pozic, jak by mohl ovlivnit členy společnosti a společnost jako takovou. Na závěr je předloženo několik konkrétních návrhů na optimalizaci fungování společnosti při aplikaci konceptu čtvrté průmyslové revoluce.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the currently ongoing fourth industrial revolution, specifically its influence on the company ŠKODA AUTO ltd. The thesis contains terms, methods and technologies connected with the fourth industrial revolution. The thesis is based on Czech and European publications, at the same time draws from sources outside the European Union for diversification of entry data. Included is a few analyses of the concept of Industry 4.0, furthermore the thesis lists specific examples of current application, presents certain internal strategies for development of the company and then it quotes statements of the board of directors and employees of the company. In detail the thesis focuses on the area of human resources in connection with production, logistics and development in the company. From this information is outlined how the concept of Industry 4.0 could change the structure of the job positions, how could it affect the members of the company and the company itself. In the conclusion is listed a few specific suggestions for optimization of the operation of the company during the application of the concept of fourth industrial revolution.
