Lotteries and Testing the Randomness of the Numbers Drawn

Abstract:

The subject of the Bachelor thesis are the lotteries and testing randomness of numbers drawn. In term of its content it features analysis of the probabilities regarding Lotto games. Particular Lotto games within the European Union are then analyzed with respect to the probabilities of winning categories of these games. The thesis also includes a study of the Chi^2 test for testing equidistribution of the sets of numbers drawn. A modified Chi^2 test is then applied to the available data obtained from the lottery companies within the European Union.

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce jsou loterie a testování náhodnosti tažených čísel. Práce se zabývá výpočty pravděpodobností v rámci Lotto her a obsahuje analýzu výherních kategorií vybraných Lotto her v rámci zemí Evropské unie. Druhým tématem je Chi^2 test pro testování náhodnosti tažených kombinací v Lotto hrách. Modifikovaný Chi^2 test je použitý na datech získaných od jednotlivých provozovatelů loterií v zemích Evropské unie.
