Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce "Cesta do Emauz v díle Jana Čepa" zkoumá souvislost prozaických textů autora s úryvkem Lukášova evangelia o učednících putujících do Emauz. Zaměřuje se na motivy smrti, vzkříšení a Velikonoc, eucharistie, cesty, poutě a prozření i na pojetí duchovní reality obecně, a po té se zabývá kategoriemi času a prostoru v evangeliu i v díle Jana Čepa. Práce tak dokazuje, jak výrazná je podobnost motivů i celkové atmosféry Čepovy tvorby a evangelijního příběhu.

Abstract:

Master's diploma thesis "The Road to Emmaus in the Prosaic Books of Jan Čep" deals with the connection between the writer's prosaic texts and the part of Lucas's gospel about two Christ's followers on their way to Emmaus. It concentrates on the motives of death, resurrection and Easter, Eucharist, way, pilgrimage and enlightment and on the perception of spiritual reality in general, and later on it also deals with the categories of time and space in the gospel and in the work of Jan Čep. Thus the thesis shows how significant the similarities of both motives and the overall atmosphere of Čep's proses and the gospel story are.
