Motivation of Parents regarding their Choice of a Nursery School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Motivace rodičů při výběru mateřské školy" je snahou o porozumění jevu, který je v naší společnosti poměrně častým. Nicméně si myslíme, že výsledky výzkumu mohou být užitečné a zajímavé. Snad všichni rodiče se zabývají tím, která mateřská škola bude pro jejich dítě nejlepší a jestli ta vybraná splnila jejich očekávání. Cílem práce je zmapovat, jak se motivy matek při výběru mateřské školy naplňují či nenaplňují v získaných zkušenostech. Teoretická část diplomové práce je zpracována metodou analýzy a komparace dostupné odborné literatury vztahující se k tématu. V praktické části je uplatněn jeden z designů kvalitativní analýzy textu - interpretativní fenomenologická analýza. Výsledky výzkumu jsou prezentovány ze dvou perspektiv - z perspektivy témat a z perspektivy jednotlivých případů/respondentů.

Abstract:

The thesis "Motivation of parents when choosing a kindergarden" is an attempt to understand the phenomenon which is quite frequent in our society. However, we believe that the results of this research can be useful and interesting. Perhaps all parents deal with the fact which kindergarden will be the best for their child and whether the selected one has met their expectations. The aim is to map out how the motives of mothers choosing a kindergarden meet or fall short of the experience gained. The theoretical part is done as an analysis and comparison of the available literature related to the topic. In the practical part one of the designs of qualitative analysis of texts is applied - interpretative phenomenological analysis. The research results are presented from two perspectives - from the perspective of topics and perspective of individual cases/respondents.
