Abstract:

Herbář aneb Bylinář vysoceučeného a vznešeného p. Doktora Petra Andreje Mathiola, tlačený v Prahe v roku 1596, pochádza zo zbierok Městského muzea ve Volyni. Kniha sa zachovala ako preväzba pôvodnej barokovej väzby. Knižný blok s narušeným organizmom šitia je chránený drevenými doskami s usňovým pokryvom. Po dohode so zadávateľom (Městské múzeum ve Volyni) sme sa rozhodli pre komplexné reštaurovanie knihy. Hlavným zámerom je navrátenie základných funkcií knižnej väzbe, so zachovaním pôvodných prvkov v čo najväčšej miere. Súčasťou reštaurovania je doplnenie chýbajúcich strát drevených dosiek, papierového nosiča a celková preväzba. Správa o reštaurovaní obsahuje podrobný postup reštaurátorských prací a zoznam použitých materiálov a chemikálií. Správa je doplnená o podrobnú fotodokumentáciu stavu objektu pred, v priebehu a po reštaurovaní, tiež obsahuje grafickú prílohu a doporučené podmienky na uloženie objektu. Na zreštaurovaný objekt a fragmenty sa vyhotovila ochranná krabica z lepenky s alkalickou rezervou. Druhá časť bakalárskej práce je zameraná na farbiarske rastliny, vyskytujúce a najčastejšie sa používané v Čechách. Obsahuje transkripciu pôvodných textov vybraných farbiarskych rastlín a recepty na samotné farbenie materiálov pomocou týchto rastlín.

Abstract:

The Herbary of doctor Petr Ondřej Mathioly, printed in Prague in 1596 comes from the collections of the Municipal museum in Volyně. The book has been preserved as a rebound of the original Baroque binding. The bookblock with damaged sewing is protected by wooden boards and a leather cover. As agreed on with the owner (Municipal museum in Volyně), we decided for a complex restoration treatment of the book. The main aim is to reestablish the funcionality of the binding, together with the preservation of as much of the original material as possible. It includes extension of the boards, mending of the paper and full rebinding. Restoration documentation brings a detailed description of the treatment and a list of materials and chemicals used. It is supplied with a detailed photographic documentation of the object before, throughout and after treatment. It also includes graphic supplements and suggests further storage conditions for the object. The restored book has been provided with a protective box made from archival materials. The second part of the Bachelor thesis is focused on dye plants existing and most frequently used in the country. It presents a transcription of the original texts of chosen dye plants and brings the recipes of the actual dyeing techniques.
