Peripheral venous accesses in intraoperative care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na periferní žilní vstupy v intraoperační péči, kde hrají významnou roli. Katétry zavedené do periferních cév, umožňují přístup do žilního řečiště, přičemž slouží k podání léčiva či krevních derivátů. Při zavádění katétru je nutné znát správný postup, zvolit správnou velikost a také místo zavedení, což je důležité pro minimalizaci komplikací. Teoretická část se zabývá periferními žilními vstupy v intraoperační péči, žilním systémem horních a dolních končetin a anesteziologickými sestrami. Průzkum v praktické části je veden formou zúčastněného, zjevného pozorování periferních cévních vstupů na operačních sálech. Cílem této části je sesbírat data v reálném prostředí a následně je porovnat s národním ošetřovatelským postupem a aktuálním doporučením v péči o periferní žilní katétry. Diskuze obsahuje komparaci zjištěných výsledků s jinými zdroji.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on peripheral venous accesses in intraoperative care, where they play a significant role. Catheters inserted into peripheral vessels allow access to the venous system, facilitating the administration of medication or blood derivatives. When inserting a catheter, it's essential to know the correct procedure, select the appropriate size, and determine the insertion site to minimize complications. The theoretical section of the thesis addresses peripheral venous accesses in intraoperative care, the venous system of the upper and lower extremities, and anesthetic nurses. The survey in the practical section is conducted through participant observation. The objective of this part is to gather data in a real-world setting and subsequently compare it with national nursing protocols and current recommendations for peripheral venous catheter care. The discussion entails comparing the findings with other sources.
