Abstract:

Předmětem následující diplomové práce je německá menšina v Československu v období mezi dvěma světovými válkami. Čeští Němci v této době sehráli specifickou roli nestátního aktéra mezinárodních vztahů - stali se nástrojem k rozvrácení tehdejší první československé republiky. Tzv. sudetoněmecká otázka sloužila v diplomatické hře jako prostředek nátlaku, jehož prostřednictvím se testoval tehdejší stav mezinárodní mocenské konstelace ve střední Evropě. Má diplomová práce je případovou studií zabývající se situací, kdy nestátní aktér, v tomto případě národnostní menšina, může v určitých mezinárodních souvislostech a za určitých podmínek destabilizovat mezinárodní systém, zde versaillský.Češi a Němci společně obývali a obhospodařovali jedno území po celá staletí. Bohužel kombinace nerozhodných československých politiků, zákonů částečně znevýhodňující menšiny v ČSR, tvrdého dopadu hospodářské krize v Sudetech a geopolitických nároků sousedního Německa, vyústila v separatistické snahy sudetských Němců. Má diplomová práce objasňuje okolnosti, které vedly k mezinárodnímu zájmu o sudetoněmeckou otázku.Cílem práce je tedy objasnění okolností, které vedly k mezinárodnímu zájmu o sudetoněmeckou otázku, za přítomnosti nacistického Německa, které na tyto snahy působilo z pozadí, kontrolovalo je a podporovalo. Ve vývoji dějin sehrály svou úlohu také vítězné mocnosti, které svou politikou appeasementu svým způsobem přistoupily na německá pravidla hry a napomohly tak vypuknutí 2. světové války.

Abstract:

The subject of the following diploma thesis is the German minority in Czechoslovakia between the two world wars. The Czech Germans at this time played the specific role of a non-state actor of international relations; they became an instrument to dismantle the first Czechoslovak Republic. The Sudeten German question served in the diplomatic game as a test of the international power constellation in Central Europe at that time. Therefore my thesis is a case study dealing with situations where a non-state actor, in this case a national minority, can destabilize the international system, here Versailles, in certain international contexts and under certain conditions.The Czechs and Germans have been living together and managing one territory for centuries. Unfortunately, the combination of indecisive Czechoslovak politicians, the laws disadvantaging minorities, the harsh impact of the economic crisis in the Sudetenland and the geopolitical demands of neighboring Germany resulted in the separatist efforts of the Sudeten Germans. The aim of the thesis is to clarify the circumstances that led to the international interest in the Sudeten German question, in the presence of Nazi Germany, which controlled and supported these efforts. In this story, victorious powers have also played their part, which, by their policies of appeasement, have come to terms with the German rules of the game and helped the outbreak of the Second World War.
