Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o bakterii Borrelia burgdorferi. Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato je sérokomplex, který spadá do kmene Spirochaetae. Nejvýznamnějšími jsou patogenní druhy, které jsou původci nejen lymeské boreliózy, ale též recidivující horečky. V počátku nás práce seznamuje s charakteristickými informacemi a zástupci rodu Borrelia. Dále pojednává o lymeské borelióze, jejímž původcem je právě Borrelia burgdorferi, u kterého je typickým přenašečem klíště. V neposlední řadě se zabývá laboratorní diagnostikou, léčbou, prevencí a možnou vakcinací.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the Borrelia burgdorferi. Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato is a serocomplex that belongs to the phylum Spirochaetae. The most important of them are the pathogenic species that are a causative agents not only of Lyme disease but also of relapsing fever. At the beginning, the thesis introduces us to the characteristic information and representatives of the genus Borrelia. Then it discusses Lyme disease, the causative agent of which is Borrelia burgdorferi, and where the tick is a typical vector. Last but not least, it deals with laboratory diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and possible vaccination.
