Analysis of public and private expenditure on health in selected countries of the Commonwealth

Abstract:

Bakalářské práce se věnuje tématu financování zdravotní péče ve vybraných zemí - Austrálie, Indie, Jihoafrická republika, Kanada, Velká Británie, v letech 1995 - 2010. Teoretická část stručně popisuje systémy zdravotnictví ve vybraných zemích. Praktická část analyzuje veřejné a soukromé výdaje na zdravotnictví jako zdroje financování zdravotních systémů vybraných zemí, zaměřuje se na jejich vývoj a podíl na celkových výdajích na zdravotnictví. V závěru praktické části je zkoumána existence vztahu mezi celkovými výdaji na zdravotnictví a hrubým domácím produktem grafickou a regresní analýzou.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of health financing in selected countries -- Australia, India, South Africa, Canada, Great Britain, from 1995 - 2010. The theoretical section briefly describes the health systems in selected countries. The practical section analyzes public and private expenditure on health as a source of financing of health systems in selected countries, focusing on their development and share of total health expenditure. At the end of the practical section the existence of a relationship between total expenditure on health and gross domestic product is examined based on graphic and regression analysis.
