Multicultural Competences of Non-Insurance Social Benefits Workers

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce jsou multikulturní kompetence pracovníků nepojistných sociálních dávek. Práce zpočátku vymezuje samotný pojem kompetence, poté se zabývá možným dělením kompetencí. Následující část je zaměřena na kompetence klíčové. Stěžejní částí této kapitoly jsou multikulturní kompetence. Její součástí je pojednání o jednotlivých složkách či modelech multikulturních kompetencí. První kapitolu uzavírá oblast, která je věnována rozvoji multikulturních kompetencí. V další kapitole se diplomová práce zabývá pracovníkem nepojistných sociálních dávek. Stručně je zmíněn pojem referent, hlouběji se však práce zaměřuje na pojem sociálního pracovníka. Zabývá se legislativními předpoklady, dalším vzděláváním a pracovní náplní sociálního pracovníka. Dále se práce zaměřuje na kompetence sociálního pracovníka a to zejména na ty multikulturní. Součástí druhé kapitoly je také vymezení vztahu sociálního pracovníka s klientem a následně popis práce s příslušníky romského etnika. V praktické části byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum za pomoci anonymního dotazníku a Q metodologie. Výzkumným souborem byli pracovníci nepojistných sociálních dávek, Úřadu práce kontaktního pracoviště Vsetín, konkrétněji sociální pracovníci. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaká je úroveň osvojených multikulturních kompetencí, jakou důležitost multikulturním kompetencím pracovníci nepojistných sociálních dávek přisuzují a také zjistit, zda mezi úrovní osvojení a důležitostí existuje význam.

Abstract:

The subject of this master thesis is the multicultural competence of employees of non-insurance social benefits. Initially, the very concept of competency is defined, then this study deals with the possible division of competencies. The following section focuses on key competencies. The main part of this chapter seeks to provide an analysis of multicultural competencies. It includes a discussion about the individual components and multicultural competence examples. The first chapter concludes with a section that is dedicated to developing multicultural competencies. In the next chapter the thesis deals with an employee of non-insurance social benefits. The notion of a desk officer is mentioned briefly, but the notion of a social worker is specified in greater detail. It deals with legislative requirements, continuing education and job descriptions of a social worker. The thesis focuses on the competencies of social workers, multicultural competencies in particular. Defining the relation of a social worker with a client is an integral part of the second chapter as well as the description of working with the Roma ethnic minority. The practical part presents a quantitative research conducted with the help of an anonymous questionnaire and Q - methodology. In the research group there were employees of non-insurance social benefits, the Labour Office in Vsetín, specifically social workers. The aim was to ascertain the level of acquired multicultural competencies, the significance of multicultural competencies for workers of non-insurance social benefits, and it also seeked to find out whether there is a link between the level of proficiency and the significance.
