Tradiční postava navažského skinwalkera je v online hororových vyprávěních od spisovatelů – amatérů silně zkreslena. Tato práce zkoumá tradiční vyprávění o skinwalkerech, a z nich poté identifikuje rysy ikonické postavy skinwalkera, zlomyslného medicinmana se schopností vzít na sebe zvířecí podobu, který svým jednáním porušuje sociální normy a škodí lidem. Abstract:
The traditional figure of the Navajo skinwalker is heavily misrepresented in contemporary online horror fiction by amateur writers. This thesis examines traditional skinwalker narratives, and from them identifies features of the iconic figure of the skinwalker, a human malevolent witch with the power to change into animal form, who causes harm to people through their transgressive actions.
