Abstract:

Absolventská práce se zabývá otázkami práv žen v islámském prostředí. Cílem práce je postihnout vybrané otázky práv žen v prostředí islámu. Pozornost je nejprve věnována postavení žen v islámské společnosti a představena jsou klíčová témata jako manželství, rozvod, oblékání muslimských žen a zaměstnání. Dále je práce zaměřena na všeobecnou deklaraci lidských práv v kontextu islámu s orientací na práva žen, zejména na právo na vzdělání, právo na osobní bezpečnost a účinnou ochranu, diskriminaci žen a feminismus, jakožto možnosti dosažení rovnoprávnosti žen. Následně je charakterizována káhirská deklarace a lidsko-právní dokumenty islámu, historický vývoj postavení muslimských žen, historicko-politické souvislosti a jejich vliv na práva žen. Tato práce je užitečná pro ty, kteří se zajímají o téma práv žen v islámských zemích a chtějí rozšířit své znalosti v této oblasti. Za hlavní zjištění práce považuji ideu dosažení rovnoprávnosti žen v islámských zemích, které je podmíněno systémovými změnami a aktivním zapojením vlád, vzdělávacích institucí, médií a celé společnosti.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with questions regarding women's rights in Islamic environments. The aim of the thesis is to address selected issues concerning women's rights in the context of Islam. Attention is first given to the status of women in Islamic society, and key topics such as marriage, divorce, the attire of Muslim women, and employment are introduced. The thesis then focuses on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the context of Islam, with a focus on women's rights, particularly the right to education, personal safety and effective protection, discrimination against women, and feminism as a means of achieving gender equality. Subsequently, the Cairo Declaration and other human rights documents in Islam are characterized, along with the historical development of the status of Muslim women, historical-political contexts, and their impact on women's rights. This thesis is useful for those interested in the topic of women's rights in Islamic countries and who wish to expand their knowledge in this area. I consider the main finding of this work to be the idea of achieving gender equality in Islamic countries, which is contingent upon systemic changes and active involvement of governments, educational institutions, media, and society as a whole.
