Abstract:

TSHISEKEDI, Solange. Pravicový extremismus na Africkém kontinentu. Bakalářská práce. University College Prague –Vysoká škola mezinárodních vztahů a Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická s.r.o. Praha: 2024. 72. Tato bakalářská práce je o pravicovém extremismu na Africkém kontinentu jako sociálně patologický jev zaměřující se především na jeho příčiny a historii. Práce je rozčleněna na dvě části, a to na teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část obsahuje vysvětlení základních pojmů souvisejících s daným tématem. Jedná se o pojem „radikalismus, extremismus a terorismus“. V této části je pozornost věnována posloupnosti původu, představuje korespondující případy, zabývá se trestnou činností, propagačními metodami, symbolikou, která překračuje hranice zákona. Také se věnuje primárně prevenci tohoto sociálně patologického jevu a právním postupům, jak dosáhnout eliminaci. Podrobně zkoumám modus operandi a vývoj radikálních, extremistických a teroristických skupin v průběhu času. Dále zkoumám koloniální éru a dekolonizaci, které umožní hlubší pochopení historických a současných událostí. Empirická část zkoumá povědomí o problematice pravicového extremismu na Africkém kontinentu a jeho nebezpečí k rozštěpení společnosti a celkové destabilizace sytému. Dále se studuje aktéry, kteří sehráli klíčovou roli v historii JAR v boji proti apartheidu. Cílem práce je vysvětlit proč se pravicový extremismus vyskytl především v Jihoafrické republice, a jak lze vysvětlit jeho specifické projevy. Bakalářská práce taktéž objasní souvislosti pro pochopení dynamiky, hnací sily a destabilizačních procesů, které vedly k nárůstu kumulovaného násilí ze strany pravicových skupin. V závěru je provedeno shrnutí všech získaných poznatků a vlastní názor z osobní perspektivy.

Abstract:

TSHISEKEDI, Solange. Right-Wing Extremism on the African Continent. Bachelor's Thesis. University College Prague – College of International Relations and Institute of Hospitality Management and Economics, Ltd. Prague: 2024. 72. This bachelor’s thesis discusses about the right-wing extremism on the African continent as a social-pathological phenomenon focusing primarily on the role of world international organizations in dealing with this type of extremism. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part contains an explanation of basic concepts related to right-wing extremism. It concerns the concept of “radicalism, extremism and terrorism”. Subsequently, attention is paid to the sequence of origin, it presents corresponding cases, deals with criminal activities, promotional methods, symbolism that exceeds the boundaries of the law. It’s also primarily devoted to the prevention of this social-pathological phenomenon and legal procedures to achieve its elimination. In detail it deals modus operandi and evolution of radical and terrorist groups over time. I also examine the colonial era and decolonization to provide a deeper understanding of historical and contemporary cases. The empirical part examines awareness of issue of right-wing extremism on the African continent and its danger to the fragmentation of society and the overall destabilization of the system. It also studies actors who played a key role in South Africa’s history in the struggle against apartheid. The aim of the thesis is to explain why right-wing extremism has occurred primarily in South Africa, and how its specific manifestations can be explained. The thesis will also elucidate the context for understanding the dynamics, drivers and destabilising processes that have led to the rise of cumulative violence by right-wing groups. It concludes with a summary of all the knowledge gained and a personal perspective.
