Financial Literacy of Representatives of Local Government

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza stavu finanční gramotnosti představitelů místní samosprávy ve vybraném městě. Práce obsahuje teoretické základy týkající se organizace veřejné správy v České republice a dále obecního zřízení. Následuje praktická část, která se v první části zabývá vyhodnocením dotazníkového šetření, které zkoumá rozsah znalostí zastupitelů a vybraných pracovníků místní samosprávy v oblasti financí ve městě Choceň. Následuje analýza, která vychází ze získaných informací a komparace s celorepublikovými výsledky. Na základě těchto výsledků budou navržena možná zlepšení v dalším vzdělávání, které se týká finanční gramotnosti představitelů místní samosprávy.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor work is to analyze the state of financial literacy of the local government in the selected city. The thesis contains the theoretical foundations concerning the organization of public administration in the Czech Republic and also the municipal establishment. The following is a practical part, which deals with the evaluation of the questionnaire survey which examines the extent of knowledge of representatives and selected local government employees in the area of finances in the town of Choceň. An analysis follows, based on the information obtained and the comparison with the national results. On the basis of these results, possible improvements will be proposed in further education related to the financial literacy of local self-government representatives.
