Visigothic Hispania - it's history, society and culture

Abstract:

V první kapitole práce se hovoří o původu gótského národa a jeho putování Evropou. Následující kapitola popisuje období Toulouského království. Tento visigótský stát je rozkládal v JZ Francii a existoval v 5. století. Hlavní část práce se zaměřuje na visgóské panství v Hispánii v 6. - 8. století. Popisuje tři rozdílná období: vládu Agily, Rekkareda a Wamby. Ve stručnosti zmiňuje závažné historické události z období jejich panování, popisuje stav společnosti a kulturu. Důležité je především náboženské hledisko. V závěru se jednotlivé etapy srovnávájí, hovoří se o vlivu změny náboženství z ariánského na katolické.

Abstract:

The first chapter refers about the origin of gothic nation and about its migration through Europe. Next chapter describes the period of kingdom of Toulouse. This visigothic state, which had existed in the 5th century, had occupied the SW part of France. The main part of this work is focused on the visigothic domain in Hispania in the 6th - 8th century. It tells about three different periods: the reign of Agila, Reccared and Wamba. It briefly alludes the most important historical events of their reign, the state of the society and the culture. The religious aspect is very important. In the end the particular phases are confrontated, it is reflected the influence of the change of the religion from arian to catholic.
