The Stryd Pioneer power meter, determining the degree of real-time correlation between Heart rate and the running power meter.

Abstract:

Náplní této bakalářské práce je porovnání běžeckého výkonu podle srdeční frekvence a běžeckého wattmetru přístrojem Stryd Pioneer. V teoretické části provedeme vysvětlení obecných principů, měření wattmetrem a měření srdeční frekvence. V praktické části je hlavním cílem stanovení míry korelace mezi měřením srdeční frekvence a běžeckým wattmetrem. Zaměříme se na analyzování získaných ukazatelů s vyhodnocením poznatků v reálném čase. Změříme rozdíly při změně zátěže, která se u wattmetru mění okamžitě, zatímco u měření srdeční frekvence probíhá se zpožděním v terénních a laboratorních podmínkách. V závěrečné části shrneme zjištěné výsledky a porovnáme výhody jednotlivých metod v praktickém využití při plánování běžeckého intervalového tréninku.

Abstract:

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to compare running performance according to heart rate and the running power meter with a Stryd Pioneer. In the theoretical part we will explain both the general measuring principles of the running power meter and the general principles of heart rate measurement. The main goal of the practical part is to determine the degree of correlation between heart rate and the running power meter. We will focus on the analysis of the obtained indicators and the evaluation of findings in real time. We will measure the differences for changing load levels, which in the case of running power meters happens immediately. Meanwhile, in the case of heart rate measurement it takes place with a delay in both field and laboratory conditions. In the final part we will summarize the results and then highlight the benefits of each method for its practical use in running interval training.
