"K Rudolfskému návrší" A Probe to the Life and History of an Inn

Abstract:

Autorka se v práci věnuje problematice sdružování obyvatel města, konkrétně pak významu štamgastenství v minulosti a dnes. Zaměřila se na etnologické či spíše sociálně antropologické bádání o hostinci K Rudolfskému návrší. Záměrně zvolila tento hostinec, který funguje od konce 19. století, s výjimkou období v rozmezí let 1950 – 1997, až do současnosti a který je po celou dobu fungování v držení téže rodiny. Na jeho proměnách se také odrazilo, že česká obec Žabovřesky byla připojena v roce 1919 k tzv. Velkému Brnu. Díky poloze hostince ve staré žabovřeské zástavbě zde fungují sousedské vztahy, charakteristické pro venkovské hospody. Díky tomu není hospodské prostředí zcela anonymní, jako u většiny lokálů v úzkém centru Brna. Autorka zkoumala a zdokumentovala jednotlivé stolové společnosti a vztahy mezi nimi a srovnala atributy štamgastenství v minulosti a v současnosti na základě jejich definice v stěžejní práci, která se problematikou stolových společností zabývá ALTMAN, Karel: Zlatá doba štamgastů pražských hospod, Brno : Host, 2003. Badatelka pracovala metodou terénního výzkumu (dlouhodobé pozorování, pilotované dotazníky, řízené rozhovory) a archivních rešerší. Dospěla k závěru, že v předměstské hospodě stále funguje institut stolní společnosti, byť se dnes nevyznačuje tolika vnějšími znaky jako tomu bylo v minulosti, je více založen na osobních vazbách, podmíněných nejčastěji společnými zájmy, přátelskými vztahy a politickým přesvědčením.

Abstract:

The author devotes to the question of get-togetherness of town population, more specifically to the importance of barfly phenomenon in the past and today. She concentrates on the ethnological and culturological study of the K Rudolfskemu navrsi inn. She purposefully chose this inn, functioning from the end of the 19th century until today, with the exception of the 1950-1997 period, which belongs to the same family. On its changes can be seen that the Czech village of Zabovresky was connected to the so called „Greater Brno“. Due to the location of the inn in the old build-up area of Zabovresky, there are neighbourly relationships functioning in the inn, a phenomenon typical for country inns. That is why the inn’s environment is not completely anonymous as is common in most of the pubs in the very centre of Brno. The author investigated and documented the individual table communities and their relationships and compared the attributes of the barfly phenomenon in the past and in the present, based on their definition in the critical work that studies table communities (ALTMAN, Karel: Zlatá doba štamgastů pražských hospod, Brno : Host, 2003). The author used the method of field research (long term observation, pilot questionnaires, and governed dialogues) and archive research. She came to the conclusion that the institute of table society still exists in a suburb inn, although nowadays it does not have as many extern features as it did in the past, it is to a much greater degree based on personal relationships, conditioned mostly by common interests, friendship and political orientation.
