Tato diplomová práce se zabývá znaky rakouské němčiny a možnostmi jejího začlenění do výuky německého jazyka. Práce se člení na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se věnuje definici termínu pluricentrický jazyk a obzvláště německému jazyku a jeho sedmi centrům (Německo, Rakousko, Švýcarsko, Lichtenštejnsko, Lucembursko, východní Belgie a Jižní Tyrolsko).
