Success Rate Analysis of the English Thoroughbred in Flat Races in the World

Abstract:

Tato práce měla za cíl zanalyzovat populaci anglického plnokrevníka v rámci jeho nejvýkonnější třídy na rovinových dostizích v celosvětovém měřítku. Vybraná populace vycházela z žebříčků nejlépe hodnocených koní s minimálním ratingem 115, zveřejněných International Federation of Horseracing Authorities v letech 2004 až 2020. Pomocí vícefaktorové analýzy bylo statisticky vysoce průkazně dokázáno, že na základě posuzovaného faktoru země tréninku měla skupina koní trénovaných v Irsku nejvyšší rating 118,85. Sufixy evropských autorit měly dle našich výsledků největší procentuální za-stoupení a zároveň měly nejvyšší ratingy v čele s irským sufixem 118,01. Na základě posuzovaného faktoru sufix plemeníka jsme prokázali, že nejlépe hodnocení koně byli s ratingem 118,66, který patřil potomkům plemeníků s kanadským sufixem. Dále jsme zjistili, že statisticky vysoce průkazně, s ohledem na pohlaví, byla nejúspěšnější skupina mladých hřebců ve věku 3-4 let s průměrným ratingem 118,05. Analýza vyhodnotila faktor věk také jako vysoce statisticky průkazný. Skupina tříletých koní s ratingem 117,75 měla větší výkonnost než ostatní věkové skupiny. Statisticky průkazně vyšlo, že na umělém povrchu měli koně větší rating 118 než u ostatních povrchů, ale zde je nutno přihlédnout k nižšímu počtu koní v této skupině. Na základě posuzovaného faktoru distance jsme prokázali, že nejvýkonnější byli koně, kteří běhali středně dlouhé tratě (1 900–2 100 m) s ratingem 118,05. V analýze „top plemeníků“ byla taktéž dle pohlaví nejvýkonnější skupina mladých hřebců s ratingem 118,6. Na základě posuzovaného faktoru distance byl nejvyšší rating 118,5 statisticky vysoce průkazně vyhodnocen obdobně na střední vzdálenosti. Jako nejlepší plemeník byl vyhodnocen Street Cry (IRE), jehož potomci měli v průměru 120,46 rating. Galileo (IRE) měl potomků v databázi nejvíce.

Abstract:

The aim of this work was to analyse the population of the English Thoroughbred within its most powerful class on flat races worldwide. The selected population was based on the rankings of the best rated horses with a minimum rating of 115, published by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities from the year 2004 to 2020. Using multifactor analysis, it was demonstrably proven that based on the assessed country training factor, the group of horses trained in Ireland's had the highest rating of 118.85. According to our results, the suffixes of European authorities had the largest percentage and at the same time had the highest ratings, led by the Irish suffix 118.01. Based on the assessed factor of the stallion suffix, we proved that the best rated horses were with a rating of 118.66, which belonged to the offspring of stallions with the Canadian suf-fix. We also found that statistically highly conclusive, including sex factor, was the most successful group of young stallions aged 3-4 years with an average rating of 118.05. The analysis also evaluated the age factor as highly statistically significant. The group of three-year-old horses with a rating of 117.75 had a higher performance than other age groups. In the analysis of “top stallions”, according to the sex, was the most efficient group of stallions with a rating of 118.6. Based on the assessed distance factor, the highest rating of 118.5 was statistically highly convincingly evaluated similarly at medium distances. Street Cry (IRE) was evaluated as the best stallion, whose offspring had an average rating of 120.46. Galileo (IRE) had the most descendants in the database.
