Lie detector examination in the process of clarifying criminal activity

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na fyziodetekční vyšetření v procesu objasňování trestné činnosti. Cílem práce je popsat historický vývoj odhalování lži a objasnit princip fungování fyziodetekčního vyšetření. V teoretické části je vysvětlen pojem fyziodetekční vyšetření a jiné názvy spjaté s tímto zařízením, obecný pohled na pojmy pravdu, polopravdu a lež. Následuje sepsání historického vývoje odhalování lži až po současnost. Dále je přiblížen princip fungování detektoru lži, průběh vyšetření a jeho možné komplikace. V praktické části je porovnána využitelnost a právní úprava v České republice a v zahraničních zemích. Práce je obohacena obrázky a fotografiemi historických přístrojů odhalování lži až do nynějšího provedení.

Abstract:

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on physical detection examination in the process of clarifying criminal activity. The aim of the thesis is to describe the historical development of lie detection and to clarify the principle of operation of the physical detection examination. In the theoretical part, the concept of physical detection examination and other names connected with this device are explained, as well as a general view of the concepts of truth, half-truth and lie. The following is a write-up of the historical development of lie detection up to the present day. Furthermore, the principle of the operation of the lie detector, the course of the examination and its possible complications are described. In the practical part, usability and legal regulation in the Czech Republic and in foreign countries are compared. The work is enriched with images and photographs of historical lie detectors up to the current version.
