The Own Villa of Evžen Linhart in Prague - Dejvice

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlastní vilou architekta Evžena Linharta v Praze – Dejvicích. Je zde nastíněn historický vývoj Linhartovy vily, její popis dle původních projektů a současný stav. Dále je vila zařazena do kontextu architektovy tvorby a podrobena umělecko - historické analýze a stylové kritice v souvislosti s kulturním děním dvacátých let 20. století a členstvím Evžena Linharta ve skupině architektů tzv. puristické čtyřky. Popisuje všechny vlivy meziválečné architektonické avantgardy, které působily na české prostředí včetně ruského konstruktivismu a holandského neoplasticismu hnutí De Stijl. V textu je také rozebírán fenomén vlastních vil a rodinných domů architektů první poloviny 20. století. Příloha obsahuje fotografie vily ze současnosti a fotokopie původních plánů.

Abstract:

Diploma paper deals with the own villa of an architect Evžen Linhart in Prague – Dejvice. This text contains the history of Linhart`s villa, its own description according to preserved plans and present condition. In the following is villa situated into the context of the architect`s production and the art – historical analysis and style criticism is applied in the connection to the culture of the society in the 20`s and the membership of Evžen Linhart in the group of architects called „puristická čtyřka“. The text define all influences from the interwar architectural Avant – Garde, that appealed in the Czech scene including Russian constructivism, Dutch neoplasticism in the surrounding of the De Stijl movement. This text also consider the phenomen of own villas and family houses designed by the architects of the first half of the 20th Century. There are pictures of „status – quo“ of Linhart`s villa and photocopies of preserved plans attached in the supplement.
