Factors influencing the choice of summer holidays of the inhabitants of the Ústí Region

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci jsou porovnány výdaje domácností za jednotlivé služby v oblasti cestovního ruchu a popsány faktory, které ovlivňují výběr letní dovolené. Spousta lidí ráda cestuje, ale jaký je hlavní faktor při výběru letní dovolené? Lidé rádi zkoumají tuzemské i zahraniční destinace, ale každý jedinec má jiná kritéria pro výběr. Hlavní determinanty pro výběr letní dovolené dle literatury jsou především finanční prostředky a cíle cesty. V praktické části je zpracován průzkum, který probíhal prostřednictvím elektronického dotazníkového šetření obyvatel v Ústeckém kraji. Cílem této práce je zjištění a ohodnocení faktorů, které zákazníky ovlivňují při výběru letní dovolené. V prvním kroku byla sbírána primární data, která se týkají cestovního ruchu a rozpočtu domácností. Poté byly vyhodnoceny dotazníky pomocí popisné statistiky a chí-kvadrát test nezávislosti a na jejich základě bylo zjištěno, které faktory při výběru letní dovolené obyvatel dominují a jestli cena hraje při něm hlavní roli. Nejvýznamnějším důvodem, proč respondenti jezdí na dovolenou, je rekreace a relaxace. V závěru bylo vypracováno doporučení pro cestovní kanceláře, které by mohlo pomoci při vylepšování jejich nabídky cílových cest zákazníků.

Abstract:

In this bachelor's thesis, household expenses for individual services in the field of tourism are compared and factors influencing the choice of a summer vacation are described. A lot of people like to travel, but what is the main factor in choosing a summer vacation? People like to explore domestic even foreign places, but each individual has different criteria for selection. According to the literature, the main determinants for choosing a summer vacation are primarily financial means and destination. In the practical part, a survey is processed, which was carried out through an electronic questionnaire survey of residents in the Ústí Region. The goal of this thesis is to find out and evaluate the factors that influence customers when choosing a summer vacation. In the first step, primary data related to tourism and household budgets were collected. The questionnaires were then evaluated using descriptive statistics and the chi-square test of independence. On the basis of which, it was determined what factors are the residents' choice of summer vacation and whether the price plays a major role in the decision. The most important reason why respondents go on vacation is recreation and relaxation. A recommendation was written for travel agencies that could help in improving the assortment.
