Abstract:

Kázání Petra Žitavského na Píseň písní Dizertační práce se zabývá dosud nevydanou a neprobádanou sbírkou kázání Sermones de principalibus festis Petra Žitavského (z. 1339), proslulého kronikáře a opata cisterciáckého kláštera na Zbraslavi. Jak název práce napovídá, pozornost je zde věnována především promluvám na Píseň písní (o celkovém počtu 39). Tato kázání jsou v dizertaci edičně zpřístupněna (jako dodatky jsou spolu s nimi vydány také další části díla) a podrobena obsahovému rozboru - na pozadí srovnání s výkladem biblického Canticum canticorum v kázáních Bernarda z Clairvaux jsou odhalovány hlavní rysy exegeze Písně písní v pojetí Petra Žitavského. Druhým hlavním tématem práce je obecná charakteristika Sermones de principalibus festis jako celku. V jejím rámci autorka rekonstruuje kazatelskou událost, na jejímž základě zkoumaný text vznikl (prostředí vzniku, publikum, osobnost kazatele, jazyk promluv), přibližuje vztah mezi mluvenou a písemnou podobou kázání, identifikuje formu dochování kazatelského textu a srovnává dílo se staršími latinskými homiletickými soubory, které na českém území vznikly nebo byly užívány.

Abstract:

Sermons of Petr Žitavský on the Song of Songs The present doctoral thesis deals with an as yet unpublished and unstudied collection of sermons Sermones de principalibus festis by Petr Žitavský (d. 1339), a renowned chronicler and abbot of the Cistercian cloister in Zbraslav, Bohemia. As the title of the thesis suggests, main attention is paid to homilies on the Song of Songs (totalling 39). An edition of these sermons is made available in the dissertation (with other parts of the work being provided as addenda), and subjected to a semantic analysis: by a comparison with the interpretation of the biblical Canticum canticorum in the sermons of Bernard of Clairvaux, main features of Petr Žitavský's exegesis of the Song of Songs are revealed. Another major topic of the thesis includes general characteristics of Sermones de principalibus festis as a whole. In doing so, the author attempts a reconstruction of the homiletic event, which gave rise to the examined text (place of origin, the public, the preacher's personality, language of homilies), clarifies the relationship between the spoken and written form of the sermons, identifies the form in which the text of the sermons has been preserved, and compares the work with older Latin homiletic collections, which had originated, or were in use, within the Bohemian territory.
