Solvency II and its possible impact on the calculations in life insurance

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Solvency II a možný dopad na výpočty v životním pojištění“ je rozbor předpokládaných dopadů ze zavedení směrnice Evropského parlamentu a Rady o přístupu k pojišťovací a zajišťovací činnosti a jejím výkonu na výpočty vybraných parametrů pojistných smluv v životním pojištění. V první části jsou popsány vybrané disciplíny z pojišťovnictví včetně postupů při výpočtech zvolených parametrů. Druhá část se zabývá teoretickými aspekty solventnosti v pojišťovnictví, historií regulace pojišťovnictví v Evropské unii a analýzou směrnice Solvency II. V třetí části jsou shrnuty dopady režimu Solvency II a provedeny výpočty zvolených parametrů po implementaci principů ze směrnice.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis „Solvency II and its possible impact on the calculations in life insurance“ is to analyze anticipated impacts from the implementation of the directive of the European parliament and of the Council on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of Insurance and Reinsurance on the calculations of chosen parameters of insurance contracts in life insurance. The first part describes selected disciplines of insurance, including procedures of calculating selected parameters. The second part deals with theoretical aspects of the solvency in the insurance industry, the history of insurance regulation in the European Union and the analysis of the Solvency II directive. The third section summarizes impacts of Solvency II regime and realizes calculations of selected parameters after implementation the principles of the directive.
