The cerebral palsy: evolution and treatment.

Abstract:

Infant cerebral palsy is a non-evolutionary clinical syndrome characterized by disturbances in movement and posture, often associated with epilepsy, visual and language disorders, cognitive deficits. These are secondary syndromes for a permanent and non-progressive lesion of the brain still in maturation. It is associated with injuries occurring in prenatal age (infections, maternal diseases, neurological malformations), perinatal (premature births, twin encephalopathies, anoxia before or after delivery, ...) or postnatal (meningitis, hydrocephalus, cranial trauma, .. .).

Abstract:

Le paralisi cerebrali infantili sono sindromi cliniche non evolutive caratterizzare da disturbi del movimento e della postura, spesso associate ad epilessia, disturbi della visione e del linguaggio, deficit cognitivi. Si tratta di sindromi secondarie ad una lesione permanente e non progressiva a carico dell'encefalo ancora in maturazione. E' associata a lesioni avvenute in epoca prenatale (infezioni, patologie materne, malformazioni neurologiche), perinatale (nascite premature, gemellari encefalopatie, anossia prima o dopo il parto,...) o postnatale (meningite, idroencefalo, traumi cranici,...).
