Electric cars and living environment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na elektromobilitu z pohledu životního prostředí. V první části je popsán historický vývoj elektromobilů. Dále se věnuje popisu jednotlivých konstrukčních řešení. Hlavní část je věnována rozboru vlivu výroby, provozu a likvidace elektromobilů na životní prostředí, kde je detailně popsána výroba lithium-iontového akumulátoru, výroba elektrické energie pro provoz elektromobilů a jejich následná celková výroba a recyklace. Bylo zjištěno, že výroba vozidel se spalovacími motory je z ekologického hlediska výhodnější než výroba elektromobilů. Naopak provoz elektromobilů je z pohledu životního prostředí šetrnější než provoz vozidel se spalovacím motorem. Co se týče následné likvidace, tak vozidla se spalovacím motorem a elektromobily se příliš neliší. Jediným rozdílem je recyklace nebo druhotné využití akumulátoru elektromobilu a jeho vliv na životní prostředí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focused on electromobility from an environmental point of view. The first part describes the historical development of electric cars. It also describes the individual construction solutions. The main part is devoted to the analysis of the impact of production, operation and disposal of electric vehicles on the environment, which describes in detail the production of lithium-ion battery, electricity production for electric vehicle operation and their subsequent overall production and recycling. It was further found that the production of vehicles with internal combustion engines is more environmentally friendly than the production of electric cars. On the contrary, the operation of electric cars is more environmentally friendly than the operation of cars with internal combustion engines. As far as disposal is concerned, a vehicle with an internal combustion engine and electric cars do not differ much. The only difference is the recycling or re-use of the electric car battery and its impact on the environment.
