Předkládaná disertační práce pojednává o repetitivních sekvencích obrovských genomů, které jsou zastoupeny v rodu Fritillaria. Tento rod z třídy jednoděložných byl vybrán nejen proto, že obsahuje druhy nesoucí jedny z největších rostlinných genomů, ale také zahrnuje řadu druhů s menšími genomy. The presented thesis deals with repetitive sequences of the giant genomes encountered in genus Fritillaria. We have chosen this monocot genus because it not only contains species with some of the largest plant genomes, but also includes species with a range of smaller genomes.
