Laura Mulvey v roku 1975 rozpútala vášnivú diskusiu tvrdením, že film je formovaný výlučne mužským pohľadom (male gaze). Dokáže filmová reč počnúc strihovou skladbou - nástrojom na formovanie pohľadu, konštruovať v podmienkach patriarchálneho sveta pohľad ženský (female gaze)? In 1975 Laura Mulvey opened a discussion by claiming, that film is constructed exclusively by the male gaze. Can film language, starting with montage - tool for creating the gaze, construct the female gaze in conditions of patriarchal world?
