Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá tvorbou grafického dizajnéra Rudolfa Altrichtera, ktorý bol samoukom a v počiatkoch sa o výtvarné umenie zaujímal popri zamestnaní. Profesionálne tvoril od 50. rokov 20. storočia po rok 1978. Úvodná kapitola je venovaná životu autora. Jednotlivé sumarizované diela výtvarníka sú rozdelené do kategórií podľa druhov grafickej a plagátovej tvorby. Každá kapitola je rozdelená časť, pojednáva v prvom rade všeobecne o spoločensko-kultúrnych podmienkach a faktoroch, ktoré daný druh grafickej tvorby formovali. A na časť, kde je predstavený vývoj tvorby autora v rámci kategórie. Diela sú popisované, analyzované a následne porovnávané. Ako prvá je predstavená voľná a angažovaná tvorba. Ďalej je dôraz kladený na plagátovú tvorbu, ktorej sa autor venoval v najväčšej miere. Rozdelená je na politické, kultúrne a výstavné a filmové a divadelné plagáty. V závere práce sú predstavené ďalšie druhy autorovej tvorby, ktoré tvoria ojedinelý malo známy element jeho diela. Jedná sa o výstavnú grafiku, iné typy úžitkovej grafiky (logá, ilustrácia kníh, medaile, diplomy), tvorbu listoviek a ďalších druhov propagačných materiálov.

Abstract:

The master thesis is focused on the work of graphic designer Rudolf Altrichter, who was actually a self-taught person and who was initially interested in fine (graphic / visual) arts while having a regular occupation. As a professional artist, Altrichter started his career in 1950s and was active until 1978. The first chapter of my work is focused on author´s biography. Summarized works of the author are divided into categories in accordance with specific types of graphic and poster production. Each chapter of my work is specifically divided into a section primarily concerning the general socio-cultural context and conditions, which influenced and formed the respective sort of graphic (fine / visual) production, and a section focused on the presentation of the development of author´s work within respective category. Author´s works are thoroughly described, analyzed and subsequently compared. At first, I present author´s graphic and committed work. Further I put a lot of emphasis on the poster production to which the author was dedicated to a greater extent. In this regard I also present political, cultural, exhibitional, filmographic and scenic (theatrical) poster production specifically. In the conclusion of my work I also present other sorts of author´s production, which form quite unique and less known aspect of his work. In this regard, I am focused on the exhibitional graphic arts, other sorts of utility graphics (logos, illustration of books, medals, diplomas), production of other types of promotional materials.
