Innovative approaches to sustainable management of building of the Faculty of management

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci na téma "Inovativní přístupy k udržitelnému managementu budovy Fakulty managementu" se zabývám především ekologickou certifikací existujících budov prostřednictvím mezinárodního environmentálního certifikátu LEED. První část informuje o modifikaci certifikátu LEED pro existující budovy, iniciativách americké rady pro šetrné budovy (USGBC) a českých i zahraničních environmentálních programech, které zprůhledňují udržitelnost budov. První část je uzavřena výčtem potencionálních benefitů, plynoucích z certifikace a finanční náročností a návratností certifikačního procesu u vzorových projektů ve světě. Primárním cílem druhé části je navrhnout a zdůvodnit změny, v rámci budovy Fakulty managementu, při jejichž realizaci by budova fakulty byla schopná získat certifikát LEED pro existující budovy. Jedná se o formu manuálu, který zmiňuje především výčet navrhovaných technologií a pokynů pro efektivní správu budovy. Následují návrhy změn, které se sice certifikačního procesu netýkají, avšak mohou zefektivnit a optimalizovat chod objektu. V závěru je vyhodnocen dotazník, který byl aplikován na všechny studenty fakulty, a který zkoumá především zájem studentů o potencionální certifikaci školy a jejich pohled na současný stav budovy.

Abstract:

In my thesis on the subject "Innovative approaches to sustainable management of the Faculty of management building" I deal mainly with ecologic certification of existing buildings through international environmental certificate LEED. First part of the thesis informs about modification of the LEED certificate for existing buildings, initiatives of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Czech and foreign environmental programs, which makes sustainability of the buildings more transparent. First part of the thesis ends with an enumeration of potential benefits resulting from certification and financial demands and payback periods of the certification process of exemplary projects in the world. The primary aim of the second part of the thesis is to propose changes to Faculty of management building that are needed to be done so that Faculty of management building would gain LEED certificate for existing buildings. It is a kind of manual, which mentions mostly an enumeration of proposed technologies and instructions for effective management of the building. Next part follows with proposition of the changes that do not concern the certification process itself, but that can increase the efficiency and optimize functioning of the building. At the end of the thesis a questionnaire, which has been applied to all students of the faculty and which examines primarily an interest of the students about potential certification of the building and their opinion about current state of the building, is assed.
