Diplomová práce se zabývá písňovou tvorbou skladatele Vítězslava Nováka a rozšiřuje tak mou bakalářskou práci s názvem Vítězslav Novák: Písňová tvorba přelomu století. Dvojím pohledem se rozumí dvě současně probíhající linie v písňové tvorbě tohoto autora – umělé písně s básnickou předlohou a písně spjaté s folklorem.
