Neural differentiation is the process in which neurons - cells in the brain tissue - are formed from their cellular evolutionary predecessors. In order to understand the mechanisms underlying this process, we need to understand how the genetic information stored in the cells influences the fate of the cell by changes in gene expression, determining which proteins are produces within the cell.
