Multicultural competences of pedagogical staff in social excluded localities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Multikulturní kompetence pedagogických pracovníků v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách se zabývám tím, jak pedagogičtí pracovníci vnímají své multikulturní kompetence. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na teoretická východiska sociálního vyloučení a sociálně vyloučené lokality v České republice, a dále romskou komunitu, která tvoří nejpočetnější skupinu obyvatel v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách České republiky. Poslední kapitolu teoretické části práce tvoří samotné multikulturní kompetence pedagogických pracovníků - jejich modely, využití a měření. Obsahem empirické části práce je popis metodologie výzkumného šetření a následný popis získaných výsledků během kvalitativního výzkumného šetření. Cílem této diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak pedagogičtí pracovníci vnímají své multikulturní kompetence a zároveň jejich důležitost pro svoji práci na školách v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled Multicultural pedagogical workers’ competences in socially excluded localities deals with the way pedagogical workers in those localities perceive them. The theoretical part focuses on the theoretical background of social exclusion and socially excluded localities in the Czech Republic, as well as the Roma community, which is in fact the largest group of inhabitants in socially excluded localities in the Czech Republic. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis consists of the multicultural competences of pedagogical staff - their models, use and measurement. The content of the empirical part of the thesis includes a description of the research investigation’s methodology and a following description of the results obtained during the qualitative research investigation. The aim of this thesis was to find out how pedagogical workers perceive their multicultural competences and also how important these competences are at work in socially excluded schools.
