Inner politics of Great Britain (Scotland, Ireland)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Vnitřní politika Velké Británie (Skotsko, Irsko)“ si klade dva hlavní cíle. Prvním cílem je podat komplexní přehled o vztazích mezi Velkou Británií a Skotskem, respektive Irskem. Tento cíl je naplněn skrze analýzu historických událostí, ale pro celistvé pochopení jsou vysvětleny i geografické, ekonomické a kulturní souvislosti těchto vztahů a politiky. Práce pak dospívá až do současného roku 2016, ve kterém nastiňuje vývoj nacionalistických tendencí v těchto regionech. Druhým cílem je návrh výukové lekce na dané téma. Otázka Velké Británie je na základních školách frekventovaná a žáci se s ní setkají v předmětech, jako je zeměpis, dějepis i občanská výchova. Proto navržená výuková lekce obsahuje zeměpisné i dějepisné informace, ale také témata z občanské výchovy, jako jsou nacionalismus a terorismus. K výukové lekci také náleží sestavený test pro procvičení nabytých informací.

Abstract:

The master thesis with topic „Inner politics of Great Britain (Scotland, Ireland)“ has two main aims. The first aim is to bring complex overview about relations between Great Britan and Scotland, Ireland respectively. This aim is accomplished through the analysis of historical events, but for compact understanding are also explained geographical, economical and cultural links of this relations. The thesis continues to actual year 2016, in which outlines the development of nationalistic tendencies in this regions. The second aim is the plan of teaching lesson on this topic. Issues of Great Britain are frequent on primary schools and pupils meet this topic in subjects like geography, history and civics. That is the reason, why suggested teaching lesson contains geographical and historical information, but also issues from civics as a nationalism or terrorism. The teaching lesson also includes worksheet for practising of gained information.
