The theory of solidarity by Durkheim and Spencer

Abstract:

Tato práce se skládá ze tří částí. V první je shrnuta teorie solidarity a dělby práce, včetně rozdělení solidarity na mechanickou a organickou. Klíčovým dílem je zde Společenská dělba práce. To tvoří základní rámec analýzy Durkheimovy teorie v této práci. Ve druhé části jsou představeny teorie H. Spencera a následně konfrontovány s Durkheimovým pohledem na tuto tematiku. Jsou zde zmíněny největší konflikty v rámci jejich teorií. Přesto je ale uznán Spencerův vliv na Durkheimovy teorie. Ve třetí části je pohled na fungování společnosti ze strany pozdějších sociologů. Vybrán byl funkcionalismus, který byl Durkheimem velmi ovlivněn. Z teorií novodobějších autorů je patrné, že za fungováním společnosti stojí i jiné potřeby, např. potřeba interakce mezi jejími členy. Durkheimova teorie solidarity, která má základ v dělbě práce, odpovídá představiteli buržoazní sociologie, kterým byl. To, že se lidé sami sobě přestávají podobat a věnují se rozdílným činnostem v rámci dělby práce, je nutí k vzájemné závislosti a konsensu mezi sebou. Dělba práce má tak v jeho době vliv na utváření takové společnosti, kde jsou lidé vzájemně solidární a nesledují pouze své vlastní cíle. Na příkladu novodobé problematiky migrace jsme však prokázali, že rozvinutá dělba práce dnes k samotné solidaritě mezi členy společnosti již nebude postačující.

Abstract:

This paper consists of three parts. The first part, part one is a summarized theory of solidarity and the division of labor, including dividing of solidarity to mechanical and organic. As a key publication here is Division of Labor. It makes a frame of analyse of Durkheim's theory in this work. The second part is introducing theories of H. Spencer and consequently confronted with Durkheim's approach to this topic. There are mentioned the main conflicts in frame of their theories. But after all the influence of Spencer to Durkheim is acknowledged. The third part is an approach to the functioning of society from the part of the latest scientists. Chosen was a functionalism, which was highly influenced by Durkheim. From theories of these authors is evident that beyond functioning of society are other needs, e.g. need of interaction between its members. Durkheim's theory of solidarity, which has basics in division of labor, is relevant to representative of bourgeois sociology, who he was. In moment when people started to be not so similar to each other and attend to the diferent activities in view of division of labor, are pressed on to be dependent on each other. The division of labor has in his time an influence on makeing society, where people are solidary and don't follow their own interests. But in case of latest topic of migration we founded division of labor as not so sufficient to solidarity between members of todays society.
