The use of intangible cultural UNESCO heritage in tourism

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis investigates the use of Intangible Cultural Heritage for Tourism. This paper aims to present analysis of how the Czech tourism uses UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. The first part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to the description of destination management, tourism, and forms of tourism, UNESCO, history of UNESCO in the Czech Republic, cultural heritage, and conditions of registration of natural and cultural monuments on the List of Cultural Heritage UNESCO. The second, analytical, part describes the intangible cultural monuments of the Czech Republic in detail. In the second part is also introduced and analyzed the Museum of Puppet Culture in Chrudim. The interview was chosen as a tool to obtain concrete, precise information of the Museum's operation, funding and attendance and marketing. The interview was done with Olga Havlikova that works as a Public Relations Officer at the Museum of Puppet Culture. The interview with Mgr. Jozef Richter, the Project Manager of Destination Society of East Bohemia, provide us information about how is the UNESCO heritage is promoted. The last part is dedicated to the proposals based on the information obtained from the cooperation of the tourism entities.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa venuje Využitiu nehmotného kultúrneho dedičstva UNESCO pre cestovný ruch . Cieľom práce je analyzovať ako cestovný ruch v Českej republike využíva nehmotné kultúrne dedičstvá UNESCO. V prvej časti je opísaný destinačný management, cestovný ruch, formy cestovného ruchu, organizácia UNESCO, história UNESCO v Českej republike, kultúrne dedičstvo, podmienky zápisu prírodných a kultúrnych pamiatok na Zoznam kultúrneho dedičstva UNESCO.V analytickej časti sú detailne opísané nehmotné kultúrne pamiatky Českej republiky, taktiež je tu predstavené Muzeum loutkářských kultur v Chrudimi. Pomocou riadeného rozhovoru s Olgou Havlíkovou, pracovníčkou pre styk s verejnosťou v Muzeu loutkářských kultur, je priblížené fungovanie múzea, financovanie a návštevnosť. V rozhovore s Mgr. Josefom Rychterom, projektovým managerom z Destinačnej spoločnosti Východní Čechy, je uvedené ako sú UNESCO pamiatky propagované. V poslednej časti sa práca venuje návrhom na základe získaných informácií, ktoré vychádzajú zo spolupráce so subjektmi cestovného ruchu.
