Application of statistical methods for wind gust prediction

Abstract:

Úkolem této práce je analyzovat měřicí řetězec pro měření větru používaný Českým hydrometeorologickým ústavem a navrhnout metodiku pro zpracování pravděpodobnostních dat extrémních projevů větru. V první části této práce je rozpracována teorie měření větru, princip a architektura měřicího řetězce včetně přenosových technologií. V druhé části jsou analyzovány vlastnosti základních druhů rozdělení vhodné pro zvolené zpracovávání dat a jejich použití v kombinaci s metodou maximální věrohodnosti a také použití zvláštních postupů používaných v meteorologii. Dále je popsán vlastní postup zpracování dat, problematika chyb, odlehlých hodnot a ukázány zpracované výsledky pro vybraná data. Nakonec je ukázán výsledek v podobě grafických geografických map pro jednotlivé metody, kde jsou vyznačeny oblasti odlišujících se pravděpodobností návratu nárazu větru v časovém období.

Abstract:

The objective of this work is the analysis of measuring chain for measuring the parameters of wind used by Czech hydrometeorology institute and propose the methods for data processing of extreme winds. In the first part of this work is elaborated the theory of measuring wind speed, the principles and structure of measuring chain including portable measuring devices. The second part analyzes the characteristics of basic types of distribution appropriate for the selected data processing and use in combination with the method of maximum likelihood and the particular procedures used in meteorology. The following describes the progress of data, problems of errors outliers and shown the processed results for selected dates. Finally, the result is shown in graphic form of geographic maps for the different methods, which are indicated by the differing recurrence gust in the period.
