Abstract:
Má diplomová práce se zabývá vojenstvím a diplomacií byzantského císaře Alexia I. Komnena v podání Alexiady, díla jeho dcery Anny Komneny. Cílem mé práce je porovnat věrohodnost informací uvedených v Alexiadě s dalšími dobovými prameny i fakty uváděnými v moderní odborné historické literatuře a následně určit, zda se Komnena dopustila záměrných nepřesností, a pokud ano, z jakých důvodů.
Abstract:
My diploma thesis deals with the diplomacy and militarism of the Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos presented in Alexias, the work of his daughter Anna Komnena. The aim of my thesis is a comparision of the information presented in Alexias with the other contemporary sources and the facts presented in modern literature; and, as to any discrepancies, judging whether they resulted from intentional bias …more
