This thesis concentrates on the images of feminine beauty in the mainstream American society, the ideals of beauty that they represent and the effects that the ideals have on women of different ethnicities. Tato práce je zaměřená na obrazy ženské krásy v americké společnosti, a pozitivní a negativní efekty těchto obrazů na sebepojetí žen pocházejících z různých etnických prostředí.
