Territorial disputes of China in South and East China Sea

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou námořních teritoriálních sporů Číny. Jejím cílem je na základě teorií mezinárodních vztahů a zahraniční politiky Čínské lidové republiky navrhnout a diskutovat možná řešení těchto sporů v Jihočínském a Východočínském moři. První teoretická část práce definuje územní spory a uvádí teorie mezinárodních vztahů. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na konkrétní zahraniční politiku Číny v minulosti i dnes. Hlavní část práce se věnuje sporným územím obou oblastí a jejich důležitosti. Závěrem jsou diskutované možnosti mírových řešení.

Abstract:

This final thesis follow up the issue of maritime territorial disputes of China. Its aim is to propose and discuss possible solutions in the South and East China Sea, based on the theory of international relations and foreign policy of the People's Republic of China. The theoretical part of the thesis defines territorial disputes and introduces the theory of international relations. The second chapter focuses on China's specific foreign policy in the past and today. The main part of the thesis deals with the disputed territory of both areas and their significance. At last, the options for peaceful solutions are discussed.
