Prices of Mobile Phone Services in OECD Countries

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce „Ceny mobilních telefonních služeb v zemích OECD“ je srovnat specifika trhů mobilních telefonních služeb v zemích OECD z hlediska regulace, konkurence a úrovně cen a najít faktory, které tyto ceny ovlivňují. V první části jsou země OECD porovnány podle míry státních zásahů a regulačních politik na telekomunikačních trzích. Druhá část se zaměřuje na faktory ovlivňující konkurenci na trhu. Ve třetí části jsou země OECD srovnány z hlediska úrovně cen mobilních služeb. Na závěr je provedena ekonometrická analýza s cílem nalezení faktorů ovlivňujících ceny mobilních služeb v zemích OECD.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis: “Prices of Mobile Phone Services in OECD Countries” is to compare the specifics of mobile phone services markets in the OECD countries in terms of regulation, competition and price levels and to find factors influencing these prices. In the first part, OECD countries are compared in terms of state interventions and regulatory policies in the telecommunications markets. The second part focuses on the factors affecting the competition in the market. In the third part, OECD countries are compared in terms of the level of prices of mobile services. In the final part, an econometric analysis is carried out to find factors influencing the prices of mobile services in OECD countries.
