The Analysis of Bicycle Traffic in Hodonin District

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o cyklistické dopravě v okrese Hodonín. Cyklistická doprava se v současné době stává stále populárnější, jedná se o efektivní způsob dopravy, nezatěžující životní prostředí. V teoretické části je zpracována literární rešerše zaměřená na dopravu a dopravní infrastrukturu. S tím souvisí dopravní politika, kde jsou rozebrány jednotlivé priority a specifické cíle. Následuje problematika dopravy v klidu, zaměřená na Park and Ride a Bike and Ride systémy. Stěžejním tématem teoretické části je téma cyklistické dopravy v ČR. Zde jsou uvedeny základní pojmy cyklodopravy, její výhody a nevýhody, legislativa s ní spojená, národní cyklostrategie a síť cyklostezek v ČR. V praktické části je charakterizována cyklistická doprava v okrese Hodonín, jsou rozebrány výsledky dotazníkového šetření. Následuje rozbor situace v okrese Hodonín se zaměřením na možnosti parkování jízdních kol ve vybraných obcích. Na základě analýzy jsou navrženy konkrétní řešení na zlepšení situace cyklistické dopravy v okrese Hodonín.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the cycling transportation in the Hodonín district. The cycling transportation is becoming increasingly popular, being effective, environment-friendly means of transport. The theoretical part deals with the literature recherché focused on transportation and traffic infrastructure. This is related to transportation policy, which addresses different priorities and specific goals. Following is the issue of stationary traffic, focused on Park and Ride and Bike and Ride systems. The main topic of the theoretical part is the cycling transportation in the Czech Republic. There are listed the basic concepts of cycling, its advantages and disadvantages, legislation associated with it, national cycling strategy and cycling infrastructure in the country. The practical part characterizes the cycling in the Hodonín district and discussed are the results of the survey. The analysis of the situation in the Hodonín district follows, focusing on the possibility of bicycle parking in selected municipalities. Based on the analysis, we propose concrete solutions to improve the situation of cycling transportation in the Hodonín district.
