Forms of feminism in czech slam poetry

Abstract:

V předkládané práci se zabýváme podobami feminismu v české slam poetry. Okruh zájmu zužujeme na vybrané autorky a prvky jejich textů, které lze označit za feministické. Přitom rozlišujeme obecná témata feminismu a témata literárního feminismu. Klíčovými tématy práce je slam poetry a feminismus. V první části definujeme slam poetry, přičemž dáváme prostor komparaci americké a české varianty slam poetry. Jako další definujeme pojem feminismus, přičemž se zabýváme obecnými tématy feminismu a literárním feminismem. S pomocí odborné literatury určujeme znaky feminismu, poté tyto teoretické znalosti aplikujeme na konkrétní texty vybraných autorek.

Abstract:

In the presented diploma thesis we deal with the forms of feminism in Czech slam poetry. We narrow the scope of interest to selected authors and elements of their texts, which can be described as feminist. At the same time, we distinguish between general themes of feminism and themes of literary feminism. The key themes of the work are slam poetry and feminism. In the first part we define slam poetry, giving space to compare the American and Czech variants of slam poetry. Next we define the term feminism, dealing with general topics of feminism and literary feminism. With the help of scholarly literature, we determine the features of feminism, then we apply this theoretical knowledge to specific texts of selected authors.
